We obtain our water, two buckets at a time, from EPA tested sites on Ocean Isle Beach and Oak Island, NC. From there, the raw sea water is transfered to a holding tank, where it is filtered for sediment and then through a five micron membrane. The process continues in our greenhouse where the filtered water is allowed to evaporate. The high heat and breeze obtained by the greenhouse design is what gives our sea salt it's unique taste and crunch. Following the evaporation, our salt is further dried in a small greenhouse designed to use heat from the sun and a passive breeze to achieve the desired results. We are proud to offer this unique and deliciously crunchy sea salt that leaves no impact on our environment.
